Chunky Apple Sauce Recipe

Peel, core and slice apples to make about 4 cups. Place them in a microwave safe bowl.

Add some sugar, water and cinnamon.

Cook in the microwave on high for 7 to 9 minutes. Stir once while cooking.

Remove from microwave and use a potato masher to create the chunky apple sauce.

Serve warm or cold as a meat sauce or on its own. It can also be added to cake batters or used in other recipes such as Turnip Apple Crumble.
