How To Make Apple Pie - Gluten Free

Slice apples to make 6 cups.

Prepare pastry or use prepared shells for a double crust pie.

If using prepared shells I find you still have to remove top one from the pan and roll it out between sheets of floured plastic wrap.

Stir together some granulated sugar, Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free All Purpose Baking Flour, ground cinnamon and salt in a small bowl.

Stir the sugar mixture into the sliced apples.

Dump the apple mixture into the prepared pie shell.

Cover with more pastry. Crimp edges.

Cut a few venting slits in the top crust and cover edges with a pie guard.

Place in a preheated 400F oven for 45 to 55 minutes.  Keep an eye on pastry and cover if it starts to get too brown.

Remove from oven and allow to cool.
