Gluten Free Chocolate Layer Cake

With an electric hand mixer beat some shortening, eggs, almond milk and vanilla on low speed until they are well combined.

Add some Bob's Red Mill 1 to 1 Gluten Free Baking Flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Beat on low speed until combined and then on medium speed for about 1 minute.

Grease and flour two round cake pans.

Divide cake batter between the two prepared pans.

Place the cake pans in the preheated 350F oven for 30 - 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Remove from oven and allow to cool in the pans for about 15 minutes.

Invert one layer onto a serving plate and the other onto a cooling rack.

Allow layers to cool completely before frosting bottom layer as desired.

Add the second layer.

Finish frosting the cake.

Decorate as desired.
