How to Make Gluten Free Oatmeal Cookies

Dump some Golden Flavour Crisco shortening, brown sugar and granulated sugar into a large mixing bowl.

Use an electric hand mixer and beat until creamy.

 Add an egg and some vanilla extract.

 Beat again until smooth.

Measure in some oat flour, xanthan gum, corn starch, baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon and old fashioned oats.

Stir unitl well combined.

Dump in some Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free All Purpose Flour.

Stir until just combined.

Scoop the dough onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until just beginning to brown in preheated 350F oven.

Allow to cool on pan for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Divide batter to keep some plain, add raisins, or chocolate chips for a variety of cookies!
