Pecan Pie Squares - Gluten Free

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar and 1/3 cup of margarine.

Beat with an electric  hand mixer until grainy.

Dump crumbs into parchment paper lined baking pan.

Press the mixture into bottom of the pan.

Bake in 350F oven for about 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.

In a saucepan, bring syrup, almond milk, and pecans to a boil with more margarine and brown sugar. Stir.

Simmer for 2 minutes.

Pour into pan over warm crust and bake for 20 minutes. Let cool.

Run a thin blade around crust and let cool completely.

Use parchment paper to lift out of pan and cut into squares.
