Before starting to cook I  lined an 8 x 8 inch baking pan with tinfoil.

Then I measured out the correct amount of semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips into a microwaveable bowl.

I added in some mini marshmallows.

Next I poured in the correct amount of sweetened condensed milk.

Then I placed the large Pyrex measuring cup in the microwave. I melted the contents on high for 1 1/2 minutes.

After 1 1/2 minutes I removed the mixture and gave a good stir before returning it to the microwave for another minute or until the chocolate chips were melted.

Once the chocolate was melted I stirred in some vanilla extract and a bit of salt.

I scraped the mixture into the tinfoil lined square baking pan.

Then I placed the baking pan in the fridge for the fudge to set.

Once the fudge was hard I used the tinfoil to lift the fudge out of the pan.

Then I used a sharp knife to cut the fudge into squares.

Short-term storage (up to 1–2 weeks):

  • Room temperature:

    • Store it in an airtight container.

    • Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat.

    • Layer with wax or parchment paper between pieces to prevent sticking.

  • Fridge:

    • If your kitchen is warm or humid, the fridge is a good choice.

    • Still use an airtight container with layers of parchment paper.
