Chocolate Glaze

Chocolate glaze adds a sweet finishing touch to your baking.  It is quick and easy to make in the microwave and will harden on your baked goods to provide a rich chocolatey coating.

To start making the Chocolate Glaze I dumped some chocolate chips and margarine into a measuring cup.  You could also you a microwave safe bowl.

I set the measuring cup in the microwave and heated it on high power for 30 seconds.  I removed it and gave it a stir.  I continued to heat for 10 second intervals until the chocolate was smooth.

When the chocolate was melted I added in some almond milk.

Then I added some icing sugar and stirred to combine.

I made my chocolate glaze to coat some Citrus Bites, but you can you it for any of your baking!

After dunking the Citrus Bites I allowed the chocolate to set before digging in to this decadent treat!

Ingredients You'll Need to Make this Chocolate Glaze:

  • ¾ cup chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoon margarine
  • 3 tablespoon almond milk
  • ½ cup icing sugar

How to Make Chocolate Glaze:

  1. Place chocolate chips and margarine into a measuring cup or microwave safe bowl.
  2. Microwave on high for 30 seconds and then stir. If not melted use 10 second intervals until smooth.
  3. Stir in the milk and icing sugar.
  4. Dunk baked item into glaze and set aside to dry. Can also use a spreader to coat item depending on what you are glazing.
  5. Allow glaze to harden.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
