To begin making Crock Pot Stuffing, I took out a loaf of gluten free bread.

Then I cut the slices of bread into cubes.

After cutting up the bread I spread the cubes out on a cookie sheet.

I placed the cookie sheet into a preheated 300F oven for 30 minutes to dry out the bread.

Then I chopped up one yellow onion.

Next I cut up some celery.

Next I placed a skillet over medium heat and added some butter.

While the butter was melting I measured out the seasonings.  I used sage, parsley, salt and pepper.

Once the butter melted I added in the cut up vegetables and seasonings.  I cooked the mixture for 5 minutes.

Then I sprayed the crock pot with cooking spray.

Once the bread cubes were ready I dumped them into the greased crock pot.

Then I added the cooked vegetable mixture.

Next I poured some chicken broth over the bread cubes.

I beat up an egg and poured it over the bread crumbs as well.

After the ingredients were added I stirred until all the bread crumbs were moistened.

Next I put the lid on the crock pot.

I set the crock pot on lowest setting for 3 hours.

Half way through the cooking time I removed the lid and stirred the stuffing well.  Then I replaced the lid and let it finish cooking.

After 3 hours I gave the stuffing another stir and was ready to serve this delicious side dish.

You can serve directly from the crock pot or transfer the stuffing to a serving dish.

This is a great side dish recipe for any holiday celebrations but it is also easy enough to prepare any day of the week.

Enjoy this gluten free Crock Pot Stuffing loaded with seasonings, onion and celery.  Every bite will be savoured whether you need to avoid gluten or not.
