The first thing I did was prepare the vegetables by slicing up some mushrooms, red pepper and yellow onions.

Slicing the vegetables.

After the vegetables were ready I added some olive oil to a frying pan and turned it to medium heat.

While waiting for the frying pan to heat up I melted some margarine in a large sauce pan.

Melting the margarine.

While the margarine was melting I dumped the prepared vegetables into the heated frying pan and cooked them just until the onion began to soften.

Cooking the vegetables.

Then I added some Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free All Purpose Flour to the melted margarine.

Adding the flour.

I stirred until a paste had formed.

Making the paste.

Then I poured in a small amount of the almond milk.

Adding some of the milk to the paste.

Once the mixture was smooth I poured in the remaining almond milk, some onion powder, minced garlic, salt and pepper.  I continued stirring over medium low heat until the sauce thickened.

Once thickened I removed the sauce from the heat and dumped in green beans.

Adding the green beans.

After stirring in the green beans I added the vegetables from the frying pan.

Next I added some grated marble cheese and some bacon bits.  I highly recommend grating your own cheese.  I find the pre-shredded packaged cheese does not melt the same way when cooked.

When all the ingredients were combined I scraped them into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and spread them out evenly.

To prepare the topping I combined gluten free bread crumbs and a half sleeve of crushed gluten free Breton Garlic and Herb flavoured crackers in a small mixing bowl.

I sprinkled the crumbs over the bean mixture in the pan.

Then I grated some marble cheese and sprinkled it over top of the bread crumbs.

I placed the pan in a preheated 375F oven for 30 minutes.
