Fruitti Crispy Rice Squares are a quick and easy dessert that make a tasty addition to any dessert tray.

Choose your favourite gluten free Crispy Rice Cereal as the base, add some coloured marshmallows, some fruit and then you can create a fruitti version of Rice Krispie Squares.

This Rice Krispie variation can yield 24 squares but often I cut larger squares and that lowers the yield.  You choose how many squares to suit your occasion.

Fruitti Crispy Rice Squares are a great last minute dessert option that do not require baking.

The first step to make Fruitti Crispy Rice Squares was to dump some margarine into a large saucepan over low heat.

Once the margarine had melted I added in some mini fruit  flavoured marshmallows.

Then I stirred until the marshmallows were melted and well blended.

When the marshmallows were melted then I removed the sauce pan from the heat and stirred in some Crispy Rice Cereal.  Just make sure you use a gluten free type of Rice Krispies.

Then I dumped in some mixed fruit.

I stirred again until the mixed fruit was well incorporated.

Next I smeared margarine on the bottom and sides of a 9″ x 13″ baking pan.

I scraped the cereal mixture into the baking pan.

Then using a spatula smeared with margarine I pressed and spread the cereal mixture evenly in the baking pan.

I allowed the Fruitti Crispy Rice Squares to cool before cutting into them.

This variation of traditional Rice Krispie Squares is a great way to mix things up.

These chewy, gluten free dessert squares require no baking so they make a great summer treat.

But you and your family can enjoy their chewy, fruitti goodness any time of the year!
