The first step to make Fruity Pebbles Rice Crispy Treats was to dump some margarine into a large saucepan over low heat.
Once the margarine had melted I added in some mini marshmallows.
Then I stirred until the marshmallows were melted and well blended.
While the marshmallows were melting I measured some gluten free crisp rice cereal and Fruity Pebbles into a measuring cup.
I also used a mallet to slightly crush up a bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs.
When the marshmallows were melted then I removed the sauce pan from the heat and stirred in the prepared cereal mixture.
Once the cereal was well coated with the melted marshmallows I folded in the broken Cadbury Mini Eggs.
Next I smeared margarine on the bottom and sides of a 9″ x 13″ baking pan.
I scraped the cereal mixture into the baking pan.
Then using a spatula smeared with margarine I pressed and spread the cereal mixture evenly in the baking pan.
I allowed the Fruity Pebbles Rice Crispy Treats to cool before cutting into them.
This variation of traditional Rice Krispie Squares is a great way to mix things up.
These chewy, gluten free dessert squares require no baking so they make a great spring and summer treat.
But you and your family can enjoy their chewy, fruity, chocolate goodness any time of the year!
