To start making the poutine I put a bag of crinkle cut french fries in my actifry to cook.  You can cook them in the oven or deep fryer if you do not have  an actifry.

Then I put some water into a sauce pan, added the contents of two gluten free brown gravy packets and turned heat to medium.  I stirred occasionally until it boiled and thickened.  Then I reduced the heat to simmer.

Preparing the gravy.

While the gravy was cooking I cut up all my vegetable toppings.

I chose to cut up a yellow onion, some red pepper, green pepper and some mushrooms.  You may have other vegetables you want to add depending on individual tastes.

Once the vegetables were cut up I heated a large skillet to medium heat, added in some olive oil and all the cut up vegetables.

While the vegetables were cooking I cut up some pizza pepperoni into quarters.

Once the vegetables had softened up I added the cut up pepperoni and some bacon crumble to the skillet.

Then I poured a jar of pizza sauce on top of the ingredients in the skillet.

After adding the pizza sauce I cooked it for 5 minutes longer before lowering the heat to the low setting.

While the mixture was cooking and then sitting on the low setting for a few minutes I grated some mozzarella cheese.

When the french fries had finished cooking I scooped a serving on to a plate.

Next I spooned out 1/4 of the pizza topping mixture in the skillet on top of the fries.

Then I sprinkled a serving of the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pizza toppings.

The final step was to smother the ingredients in 1/4 of the prepared gravy.

Whether you choose to serve Pizza Fries as a main course or a snack it will quickly become a favourite in your home!
