To start making the Chicken Cheese Fries I put a bag of crinkle cut french fries in my actifry to cook. You can cook them in the oven or deep fryer if you do not have an actifry.
Then I prepared my chicken gravy using three gravy packets and three cups of water. I also added some Swiss Chalet Sauce Mix to the gravy. I heated the gravy over medium heat until it boiled and thickened, stirring occasionally. Then I lowered to simmer until the fries were ready.
While the fries and gravy were cooking I shredded about 4 cups of cooked chicken. I used a rotisserie chicken because I did not have left over chicken.
Next I grated two cups of mozzarella cheese. You could switch up the cheese and use as much as you like as well.
When the fries were ready I put 1/4 of them onto a serving plate.
Then I topped the fries with 1/4 of the shredded chicken.
I sprinkled 1/4 of the shredded cheese on top of the chicken.
Then I smothered the pile with hot chicken gravy.
I let each person season with salt and pepper to suit their own tastes.
Chicken Cheese Fries is a simple, yet hearty recipe, that will really hit the spot any time of the year!

I cannot find Swiss chalet sauce near me. Is there anything else I can use?

Hi Hugh, The recipe will still be delicious without adding the Swiss Chalet sauce mix. It just adds to the flavour of the gravy a bit. We also make it with only the chicken gravy when I don't have the other in my pantry. Enjoy, Kathleen
