This Oreo brownie recipe takes just over an hour from start to finish and produces a 9 x 9 pan of brownies.

How many brownies from each pan depends on the size you cut for your situation.

I usually cut small rectangles or squares because these Gluten Free Slutty Brownies are taller than regular brownies.

To begin making Gluten Free Slutty Brownies, I started by dumping some softened butter, light brown sugar and granulated sugar into a mixing bowl.

After creaming the ingredients together with an electric mixer I added in an egg and vanilla extract.

I continued mixing with the electric mixer until fully combined.

Then I added some gluten free 1 to 1 baking flour, baking powder and salt to the bowl.

I continued mixing with the electric mixer until a sticky dough formed.

Then I added some semi sweet chocolate chips to the bowl.

I lined a 9 x 9 square baking pan with parchment paper and sprayed it with cooking spray.

I scraped the cookie dough into the parchment lined pan and pressed it out evenly.

For the cookie layer I used Gluten Free Oreos but sometimes if I can’t find them I use the glutino brand.

Next I placed 16 Oreo cookies in a single layer on top of the cookie dough.

For the brownie layer I melted some butter in the microwave on low power.

Then I added granulated sugar, more 1 to 1 baking flour, cocoa, and baking powder to the melted butter.

I stirred all of the ingredients together until smooth.

Next I added in 2 large eggs.

After stirring in the eggs until well combined, I added some semi sweet chocolate chips to the brownie batter and folded them in.

Then I spread the brownie batter on top of the Oreos in the baking pan.

I placed the pan in the oven and baked the brownies for 45 – 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center came up almost clean.

I removed the pan from the oven and allowed the brownies to cool for an hour and a half.

Then I used the parchment paper to lift the brownies out of the pan.

These brownies can be cut into 16 large squares or 32 smaller pieces.

I like to cut these brownies into 32 pieces since they are so thick and decadent.

If you are looking for a tasty layered brownie recipe, then you need to try these Gluten Free Slutty Brownies!

FAQS:

What should I serve with gluten free slutty brownies?

Gluten-free slutty brownies are already a decadent treat, so you might want to balance their richness with something light and refreshing. Here are a few ideas:

  1. Fresh Fruit Salad: A medley of seasonal fruits like berries, melon, grapes, and citrus segments can provide a nice contrast to the richness of the brownies.
  2. Vanilla Bean Ice Cream: Serve a scoop of high-quality vanilla bean ice cream on the side. Its creamy texture and subtle flavor complement the brownies well.
  3. Whipped Coconut Cream: If you want a dairy-free option, whip up some coconut cream with a touch of vanilla extract and a bit of sweetener. It’s luscious and adds a tropical twist.
  4. Coffee or Tea: A cup of coffee or tea, hot or iced depending on the weather, can help balance the sweetness of the brownies and cleanse the palate between bites.
  5. Nut or Seed Butter: Offer a variety of nut or seed butters such as almond, cashew, or sunflower seed butter for spreading on top of the brownies or as a dipping sauce.
  6. Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries: If you want to stick with the chocolate theme, serve some chocolate-dipped strawberries alongside the brownies. They’re elegant and delicious.

Remember, the goal is to complement the flavors and textures of the brownies without overpowering them. Choose something that you think will be enjoyed by your guests and fits the occasion!

How do I store gluten free slutty brownies?

Storing gluten-free slutty brownies is quite similar to storing regular slutty brownies. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Room Temperature: If you plan to consume them within a few days, you can store them at room temperature in an airtight container. Make sure to let them cool completely before storing to prevent condensation, which can make them soggy.
  2. Refrigeration: If you want to extend their shelf life, you can store them in the refrigerator. Again, use an airtight container or wrap them tightly in plastic wrap to prevent them from drying out or absorbing other odors in the fridge.

Regardless of the method you choose, make sure to label the container with the date so you can keep track of their freshness.

Can I freeze gluten free slutty brownies?

Yes, you can definitely freeze gluten-free slutty brownies! Here’s how to do it:

  1. Allow the brownies to cool completely after baking.
  2. Once cooled, cut them into individual servings or leave them whole if you prefer.
  3. Wrap each brownie tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil to prevent freezer burn.
  4. Place the wrapped brownies in a freezer-safe container or zip-top bag, removing as much air as possible before sealing.
  5. Label the container or bag with the date and contents.
  6. Place the container or bag in the freezer.

Gluten-free slutty brownies should stay fresh in the freezer for up to 3 months. When you’re ready to enjoy them, simply thaw them in the refrigerator overnight or at room temperature for a few hours. You can also warm them up in the microwave or oven if you prefer them warm. Enjoy!
