The first thing I did to make Gluten Free Apple Crisp was prepare the apples by slicing enough to make 10 cups.

I spread the apples out in a 9 x 13″ baking pan.

Then I sprinkled the granulated sugar and half of the ground cinnamon over the apples.

The topping was next and I dumped the Quaker Gluten Free Quick Oats, margarine, Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free All Purpose Flour, brown sugar, salt and the remaining ground cinnamon into a mixing bowl.

Using a fork I mixed all the ingredients until no large lumps remained.

I spread this mixture on top of the apples in the baking pan.

Spreading the topping on the apples.

Then I put it in the oven at 375F for 40 minutes.  It will be golden brown.

Serve this classic fall dessert warm with ice cream or whipped cream.  Gluten Free Apple Crisp is an easy and flavourful dessert to top off any occasion!

Hi Kimberlie, I usually use whatever I have on hand which normally is empire or macintosh. I think honey crisp should be fine. Take care, Kathleen
