I used boneless rib chops but you could use any type of boneless pork chop.
Before turning on the Instant Pot I peeled and sliced the apples.
I find it more efficient to have everything ready beforehand that you want to place in your Instant Pot because everything moves along quickly.
When my apples were ready I chose the Saute less function on my Instant Pot and added the olive oil.
I sprinkled a pinch of salt and pepper on the pork chops.
When it had heated I browned the pork chops on both sides. It only took a couple of minutes.
When browned I removed the pork chops to a plate and added in the apple juice and used it to scrape any brown bits from the bottom of the pot.
I then pushed the cancel button on the Instant Pot. I added the trivet and returned my pork chops to the pot.
The apples were poured in on top of the pork chops.
Then I placed the lid on the Instant Pot, turned the steam release handle to the sealing position and set the Instant Pot to Pressure Cook High for 3 minutes.
When the Instant Pot was done cooking, I allowed it to Natural Release for 5 minutes.
Then I turned the steam release handle to the venting position to finish with a Quick Release.
I removed the lid from the Instant Pot.
I then carefully removed the pork chops and trivet leaving the apples behind.
Now it is time to add the cinnamon and the sugar.
I used a potato masher to create the apple sauce.
Enjoy your one pot pork chops and apple sauce!
