The first step to baking this delicious dessert recipe was to dump some margarine, granulated sugar and brown sugar into a large mixing bowl.

Then I used an electric hand mixer to beat these ingredients together until they were creamed before adding in some eggs and vanilla extract.

I creamed everything together again with the electric hand mixer before adding in the dry ingredients.

The dry ingredients included Bob’s Red Mill 1 to 1 Gluten Free Baking Flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder and baking soda.

After using the electric hand mixer to beat in the dry ingredients I chopped up some Turtle candies into small pieces and added them to the mixing bowl.

Once I had stirred in the Turtle pieces with a large spoon I lined a cookie sheet with parchment paper and used a 1 tablespoon scoop to drop the cookie dough onto the sheet.

I placed the cookie sheet into a preheated 350F oven for 10 – 12 minutes or until bottom edges had browned.

I allowed the Turtle Cookies to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a cooling rack.

Turtles Cookies are real treat for us gluten free eaters but they will be enjoyed by everyone.

Pour yourself a glass of milk and dive into these delicious cookies loaded with chocolate, caramel and pecans!
