To begin making Gluten Free Biscuits and Gravy I started with the biscuits and I measured some Bob’s Red Mill 1 to 1 Gluten Free Baking Flour, corn starch, baking powder and salt into a medium size mixing bowl.

After whisking the dry ingredients together I added in some margarine (butter could be used).

I cut the margarine into the dry ingredients.

Once the margarine was cut in and the mixture resembled oatmeal, I added almond milk.

I used a large wooden spoon to stir the ingredients together until a soft dough was formed.

When the dough was mixed I lined a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Then I scooped the biscuit dough onto the parchment paper.  If desired you could flatten them slightly.

I placed the biscuits in a preheated 425F oven for 10 – 12 minutes.

After putting the biscuits in the oven I placed some ground sausage in a pan over medium heat on the stove.

I measured in some salt, pepper, sage, rosemary and thyme.

Once the meat was cooked I added in some Bob’s Red Mill 1 to 1 Gluten Free Baking Flour.  I stirred to coat all of the meat.

Next I poured in some almond milk and stirred occasionally until the sauce thickened.

When the biscuits were finished I removed them from the oven.

I sliced the warm biscuits.  Some people like to crumble them up before pouring the gravy on top.

Then I poured a generous serving of the sausage gravy on top of the sliced biscuit.

This comfort food recipe is so satisfying and if you are having Gluten Free Biscuits and Gravy for breakfast it is a great start to the day.

Warm biscuits smothered in a hot, sage flavoured pork gravy will fill your belly with warmth and goodness.

How much flour do you add to make the gravy? It isn't listed in the ingredients but it is mentioned in the steps.

Hi Kristin, Thank you so much for catching this. I have corrected the recipe. The milk for the gravy was not listed either! Thanks again, Kathleen
