To begin I turned the Instant Pot to the sauté function, added the olive oil and then the lean ground beef.

While the beef was cooking I made sure to scrape the bottom of the pot well to prevent a burn message later.  The beef still had some pink remaining when I shut the saute function off.

Next I added one cup of water to the Pot and scraped underneath all the ground beef very well, removing any brown bits.  This deglazing of the Pot is a very important step.

I drained and rinsed a can of Bean Medley and dumped it into the Pot with the ground beef.

Still scraping the bottom of the Pot I stirred in the beans.

Salsa has all the ingredients that I would normally throw in to make a chili.  So why not make life easier and just open a jar or two or three!  The heat intensity is up to you.  I used two mild and one medium so my daughter would eat it.

Pour the contents of three jars into the Instant Pot and do not stir.

Place the lid on the Instant Pot, turn the steam release handle to the sealing position and set the Instant Pot to Pressure Cook High for 5 minutes.

When finished turn the steam release handle to the venting position with a quick release.

This Instant Pot Beef Chili is an easy way to get a hearty and flavorful dinner on the table without spending hours waiting for chili to simmer. The combination of seasoned ground beef, beans, tomatoes, and spices creates a comforting meal that is perfect for sharing with family and friends.

Top each bowl with your favorite chili toppings, such as shredded cheese, sour cream, green onions, or fresh cilantro. Leftovers are also great for lunch the next day, and the flavors become even more delicious as they sit.

My husband likes to add some grated cheese to his serving because dairy is not an issue for him!
