To begin making Apple Sauce Cake I stirred together some sugar and large eggs.

Once the eggs and sugar were well blended I used a large spoon and stirred in some Bob's Red Mill 1 to 1 Gluten Free Baking Flour, baking soda and baking powder.

Next I stirred in some Chunky Apple Sauce.

Or you can use any apple sauce you have on hand.

The last addition was some raisins that I folded into the batter.

You could also add some chopped pecans but I am not a fan of crunch in my cake.

When the raisins were well incorporated I sprayed a 9" x 13" baking pan with cooking spray.

I scraped the batter into the prepared pan.

Then I placed the pan into a preheated 375F oven for 20 - 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center came out clean.

After removing the Apple Sauce Cake from the oven I allowed it to cool completely.

Then I opened a tub of gluten free vanilla frosting and added some maple extract.

Some people might like some chopped walnuts or pecans on the top, but I prefer it without any nuts added.

To serve I sliced the cake into squares.

Savour the fall flavours in every bite of Apple Sauce Cake.

Your guests will not believe that it is gluten free!

    1. Hi Donna,
I used some Chunky Apple Sauce which has cinnamon in it. If your apple sauce does not have cinnamon you would need to add a couple teaspoons. I will make note of that in the recipe. Thank you!
      Take care,
      Kathleen

    1. Hi Pam,
Thank you! I am so glad that you enjoyed the recipe. I am so glad it worked out with almond flour. Might have to try that next time I make it!
      Thanks,
      Kathleen
